about

Written and Performed, Recorded and Produced
by Jupiter Jones (me) at the Center of the Universe

with the following exceptions:

"Feel Effect", "Desert Sands" and "Ohm-d"e were done in part at River City Studios in Grand Rapids, MI

Paul Meade and I wrote and performed "Gotta Go Joe" at the Class-room studio of Grand Valley State University.

Paul Meade and I also wrote "Desert Sands" which was partially recorded at the COTU and partially at RCS in GR

Paul Meade and I also wrote "Dance" which was recorded at the COTU.
It was written for the soundtrack of ''Inner Traveler'', a film by producer/director Chris Farley.

The three songs with Paul are also available on his "Archives" album, currently only available through telepathy unless you know him personally or know someone else who does.

"Moe is our Leader" was written, Performed and Recorded one night at River City Studios by Steve Boynton and me..
It was a long jam with a keytar for bass, a guitar, a drum machine, and a two-track reel-to-reel recorder. It was edited down to a usable length, and nobody needs to hear the parts where we were figuring out what we were doing, which was a lot of it. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

"Feel Effect" and "Moe is our Leader" feature Steve Boynton on Guitar
Chicks dig Steve...they dig what he stands for.

Thank you to Tim Krauss of types for making me realize that this was not just a collection of ideas rusting on my hard drive, but was in fact an album.

Thanks To Mark Homolka of Magnetic Service for inspiring the title.

Place this album chronologically just before the first Jupiter Jones album, which is scheduled to be released at some point in the past, I'll let you know as soon as I find out when that was.

Many of the notes involved in this work are wrong and should not be used as inspiration or in any "role-modely" situations. Failure to comply will be viewed as a compliance failure.

Special thanks to Mark Rehl: sometimes I think that without him, I wouldn't even exist.

Also thanks to Zk McPuffy, without whom this album would, literally, not have been possible.

Happy Birthday, everyone!
